The important things happen on the move: at the customer, in the car, in the supermarket, at the football pitch. Yet jobs are on scraps of paper, working time is filled in from memory in the evening, job photos vanish into the phone gallery and the shopping list is stuck on the fridge at home.
uttek Unterwegs brings all this into one app that installs like a real app – without an app store, straight from the browser on iPhone and Android. Big buttons, a plus button for everything new and a start page with what is on today. Entries saved without a connection are synced automatically once you are back online.
The Business edition is for trades, service and field staff: jobs with customer, address and one-tap navigation, start and stop time on the job, before/after photos, the customer’s signature on the phone and a proof of work as PDF, quote and invoice from the job, trips and a team overview “who is where today?”. Via ready-made interfaces the app fetches customers, jobs, appointments, shifts, tickets and staff from uttek Customers, Dispo, Mail & Calendar, Rota, Tickets and HR and reports trips and times to uttek Mileage Log and uttek Time – set up in the administration with address and token, test button and sync on/off per module. The Private edition is for family and household: shared appointments, shopping list, tasks, notes, photos, household expenses and trips – shared with up to 6 people.

SQLite out of the box, MySQL/MariaDB at the push of a button
Starts with SQLite – no database setup. As your business grows, switch to MySQL/MariaDB (PostgreSQL optional) with the admin wizard: test the connection, migrate all data, verify counts, switch over – with rollback.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to get the app from an app store?
No. uttek Unterwegs is an installable web app (PWA): open the address in the browser, “Add to Home Screen” – it then starts like an app with its own icon, on iPhone and Android. Updates arrive automatically via your server.
Does the app work without a connection?
Yes. Recently opened pages stay readable offline, new entries (appointments, tasks, notes, trips, expenses, times) are stored on the device and sent automatically once you are back online. Photos are uploaded when you next have a connection.
What is the difference between Private and Business?
The tier decides the edition. Private is for family and household: appointments, tasks, a shared shopping list, notes, photos, expenses, trips and sharing with up to 6 people. Business is for companies: customers, jobs with navigation, time tracking, photo log with signature, quote & invoice, team, statistics and interfaces. Business Enterprise adds PostgreSQL and an audit-proof change log.
What is the app cockpit?
A small application that runs locally on your PC (Windows, macOS, Linux – start script or simply open index.html, no installation). There you design logo, colours, icons, app name, menu order and bottom bar, switch modules on and off, define which role sees what and adjust texts in German and English – with a live preview in a phone frame. Publishing is signed with a token (HMAC-SHA256); every version is stored and can be rolled back. You download the cockpit in the administration.
Which uttek tools does the app work with?
Prepared are customers from uttek Customers, jobs from uttek Dispo, appointments from uttek Mail & Calendar and uttek Community, shifts from uttek Rota, tickets from uttek Tickets, staff from uttek HR and albums from uttek Media Library – and in the other direction trips, times and completed jobs. Set-up is in the administration: enter the remote system’s address and token, “Test”, then switch sync on or off per module; “Sync now” fetches immediately, otherwise every 15 minutes.
Does the trip list replace a tax-office logbook?
No. The trips in uttek Unterwegs are a simple list (kilometres, destination, purpose). For a tax-office-proof logbook, report the trips to uttek Mileage Log via the interface.
How many people can use the app?
In the Private edition up to 6 family members. In Business and Business Enterprise as many app users as you need that you create yourself with roles (office, field staff) – no price per user.
