How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the scope. After the free initial consultation and the feasibility check you receive a binding quote – in credits (1 credit = 15 minutes) or as a fixed price. Small extensions often take just a few credits; full web applications are typically in the four- to five-figure range.
Can the quote be 0 €?
Yes. If the feature you want also makes sense for our standard tool and you allow us to make it available to all customers, the quote can be €0. Just tick the corresponding option in the form.
Are services always charged?
We reserve the right not to charge for services. Quick questions, small help or things that move us forward too are often not billed at all.
What do you build – and what not?
We build web software: business applications, portals, interfaces, imports, reports and extensions of our tools – running on your web hosting or server and installable as a web app on your smartphone. We build your own apps for iPhone and Android as installable web apps (PWA) – see web app development, store-ready for the App Store and Google Play if required. No hardware.
Who owns the source code?
You do. You receive the complete source code and may use, modify and have it developed further for your business – no subscription and no tie to us.
How long does a project take?
Small extensions are often done in a few days, larger applications in a few weeks. You see interim releases regularly and can give input early.
How do I pay?
For credit quotes, credits are only deducted once you accept the quote in your customer account. Fixed prices are invoiced in instalments as interim releases are delivered. Nothing is charged without your acceptance.
What happens after acceptance?
Your software keeps running, even without a contract. If you wish, we take care of updates, operation and service – with credits or a service plan with guaranteed response time. Customisations of uttek tools are preserved through standard updates.
